Size Does Matter

Thinking outside the square, Timaru DC’s John Clemens has built a very smart looking, small water system, that meets DWSNZ 2008.

Timaru District Council were seeking a compact system for their Pareora bore water supply that could not only meet current supply standards, but would also have some redundancy built in. John worked closely with Filtration Technology to finally specify three new Trojan UVMAXPro 30 units which are NSF 55 Class A compliant and exceed DWS requirements.

Mounting them in parallel on a stainless steel framework, the plant has a full flow capability of 20 m3/h, but should one unit go outside specification for any reason, it will automatically shut down flow through that unit while still allowing 13 m3/h through the remaining units.

The Trojan UVMAX Pro Series come with Plug-n-Play technologies, visual LED indicators for all critical elements, and an optional Comms centre for visually observing intensity and inboard recording facilities for further compliance requirements.

The revolutionary new lamps are smaller, more powerful and longer lasting. This means they can be turned on and left on for a full two years (no waiting for lamp warm-up when the call for water comes) and the very powerful, single lamp, means the Pro Series units are far more compact than predecessors – and in instances like this, size does matter.
